ALL HANDS ON DECK

The Holy Spirit Church Fall Festival is just around the corner and we are calling all Knights to lend a hand.

Keep in mind that our council is committed to help make this event happen every year and that includes working out the logistics of setting up and taking down everything from the Bingo room to the Midway games and food booths, to the dining room and the gym floor. We have several of our Knights strategically placed in key positions to ensure this successful outcome. Just look at the impressive list below.

Council 8157: We make it happen!

There’s nothing the men listed below would love more than to get a phone call or an email from YOU, a brother Knight volunteering to help. Please contact the Knights below to volunteer to help them out:

David Dybala: Festival Operations

David is the man who will oversee the set up of all things festival this year and is seeking volunteers for set-ups on Thursday-Saturday, Sept. 26-28 and take downs on Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 28-29. Bring tools, gloves and a strong back.

Chris Kubin: Festival Food

Chris is in charge of ordering and purchasing ALL the food for the festival and is seeking volunteers and trailers to pick up Festival food early afternoon on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Mike Moloughney: Festival Games

Mike has been charged with the responsibility of procuring and arranging the festival games including the inflatables and midway games as well as the petting zoo.

Mike Fitzgerald: Auction Night Dinner

Mike and Susan will again be responsible this year for preparing the highlight of the festival weekend: the live auction evening dinner.

Mark Meyer: Festival Co-Chair

Mark and wife Cindy are the co-chairs of this year’s fall festival and as such have been the inspirational and organizational force behind the scenes.

Jack & Teddie Anderson: Rummage Sales

It’s hard to remember a time long ago before Jack & Teddie Anderson were in charge of making the rummage sales happen. And it just so happens that due to their hard work and dedication to this endeavor it has become the most lucrative part of the festival.

Grand Knight, Frank Salazar: Oversees All Knights’ Activities

In addition to making sure all Knights are where they are needed most, Frank is also responsible for ordering and picking up the hundreds of extra tables and chairs needed for the festival weekend. Frank is also requesting Knights to donate any items they can for the Festival rummage sale.
