There is no better way to experience love and
compassion than by helping those in need,
a call Knights answer every day.

Knights banded together can accomplish more
than any of us could accomplish individually
in support of our Church and priests.

Knights socialize together and take care of each other –
we have each others’ back.

Members of the Knights of Columbus are proud
of our devotion to God and country,
and believe in standing up for both.

Our Council’s Knight Hands Program Garners National Recognition

Categories: Knight Hands,News & Announcements

ur Council’s Knight Hands Service Program received national (and international) recognition this month in a four-page article published in the Knights of Columbus – Columbia Magazine. Early in May of this year Knight Hands program creator/director Allen Reitmeier received notification from Supreme that they would be sending a journalist/photographer team to research and write the story of our Knight Hands program for later publication. We are delighted to announce that it has been published in the June 2016 issue, see below.

The Columbia team visited Knight Hands during a tree clean up service project we did in the front yard of Jim and Mary Russell’s home. The article titled “Hands-On Charity” can be found on pages 20-23.

Seth Gonzales, writer and Jamie Orillion, photographer.

The Supreme K of C writer and photographer team consisted of writer Seth Gonzales, a staff writer for The Texas Catholic and member of St. Michael Council 10523 in Grand Prairie, Texas; and Jamie Orillion, a freelance photographer who drove all the way in from Lafayette, Louisiana the night before for this assignment.
