There is no better way to experience love and
compassion than by helping those in need,
a call Knights answer every day.

Knights banded together can accomplish more
than any of us could accomplish individually
in support of our Church and priests.

Knights socialize together and take care of each other –
we have each others’ back.

Members of the Knights of Columbus are proud
of our devotion to God and country,
and believe in standing up for both.

special-olympics-132 C ouncil 8157 has a right to be proud. “WHAT A TURNOUT”. First-time volunteers along with seasoned volunteers made the Special Olympics Spring 2014 Basketball Tournaments at Cedar Hill High School and Grand Prairie High School on February 19th and February 22nd, respectively. The competition was attended by 1500 athletes and 28 volunteers 17 from council 8157 volunteering 144 hours of service. The response from our council was amazing and very much appreciated by the athletes, coaches and parents. Ask Elijah Bonilla, Diana Buenaventura, Juan Chapa, Reynaldo Estrellas, Al Evans, Jackie Evans, Ruben Gucodado, Francisco Hernandez, Jim Kowalski, Hector Lopez, Yolanda Mendoza, Jesse Radillo, Ken Rarick, Steve Reid, Allen Reitmeier, Raymond Rivera, or Frank Salazar. The one on one time with the Special Olympians is what the Knights are all about–”CHARITY” the first principle of our order.

Once again Council 8157 went above and beyond for the benefit of others.
