There is no better way to experience love and
compassion than by helping those in need,
a call Knights answer every day.

Unity

Knights banded together can accomplish more
than any of us could accomplish individually
in support of our Church and priests.

Fraternity

Knights socialize together and take care of each other –
we have each others’ back.

Patriotism

Members of the Knights of Columbus are proud
of our devotion to God and country,
and believe in standing up for both.

On December 9, 2012, St Nick (played by Marce Tebbe) made his appearance in the gymnasium at the Community Center at Holy Spirit Church for the annual “breakfast with St Nick” celebration.  Deborah Garrison, in collaboration with Chris Edwards, spearheaded the affair with the Knights of Columbus doing their part as “chief cook and bottle washer”.  The cooks arrived at the kitchen before 6:00am and began preparing breakfast for approximately 400 expected guests. The final count of guests was approximately 380.  The fare included scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, French toast,  sausage, coffee and juice.  There was craft activities, face painting, singing by the church youth group and, of course, St. Nick, entertaining the young of heart by accepting their gift requests for Santa Claus.  Twenty-one Knights helped out to make the affair a success and assured that no was over worked during the celebration.  Thanks to Andy Goza, Allen Reitmeier, Bill Dover, Frank Henandez, John Espree, Jim Russell, Chris Edwards, Mike Rumsey, Pat Stepniewski, Frank Salazar, Jack Ramsden, Dan Murphy, Jim Richardson, Juan Chapa, Jorge Ruiz, Tom Greco, Art Senato, Chris Kubin, Larry Dumais, Larry Balagna, and Hector Lopez who all contributed to make this a success.  The gymnasium was beautifully decorated in a Christmas motif by Deborah.  Guests began arriving at 8:30am and continued until approximately 11:15am.  The entry fee was a toy or a donation of their choice.  All the while the sounds of Christmas music could be heard throughout the gymnasium.  All in all a great introduction to the Christmas season when we celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ.
