There is no better way to experience love and
compassion than by helping those in need,
a call Knights answer every day.

Knights banded together can accomplish more
than any of us could accomplish individually
in support of our Church and priests.

Knights socialize together and take care of each other –
we have each others’ back.

Members of the Knights of Columbus are proud
of our devotion to God and country,
and believe in standing up for both.

Bishop Burns Releases List

Categories: Safe Environment

The Bishop of Dallas, Most Reverend Edward J. Burns, has released a list with the “names of those priests who have been the subject of a credible allegation of sexual abuse of a minor in the Diocese during the period from 1950 to the present”, his letter stated.

Bishop Burns also acknowledged that there could be more unknown victims and encouraged them to come forward and report abuse to law enforcement, or by calling the Texas Abuse Hotline at 800-252-5400 and contacting Victims Assistance Coordinator, Barbara Landregan, 214-379-2812.

But the painful yet necessary process that began in 2002 in this Diocese has also led to much-needed reforms that we continue to rigorously implement today.  Going forward, we must remain vigilant.
