Ben and Renee Luna

Ben and Renee met back at Mesquite High and have been married 21 years. They have a daughter, Sayla, who graduated from Red Oak High in 2014. Ben is a member of the Duncanville Police Department, and peace officers and first responders surely deserve our respect and appreciation now more than ever. You might recall that Ben was honored early last year after calmly defusing what could have been a tense situation in which a young man was walking the city streets with a BB gun that resembled a pistol. Ben joined the council in April 2014, soon after Renee and he came through the parish’s RCIA program. We salute Officer Luna, his wife and family.
