Allen and Linda Reitmeier

Allen was a senior at Albany (Min.) High School, from the town of Richmond. Linda Lauer was a freshman, from the town of Albany. At a school dance, he approached her while she was dancing with someone else, which she politely pointed out. At the next dance, she came unattached. Fast forward to May 24, 1969, when Allen and Linda became husband and wife. They first came to Texas in 1983 and returned in ’93. Allen joined our council in November 2007, added his major degrees in January 2008, and displayed his Swiss army knife skills and accompanying energy so quickly that he was named our Knight of the Year for 2009-10. And Linda has been there every step of the way, not to mention her involvement in multiple aspects of parish activity. The Reitmeiers have four grown children (Sarah in Nashville, Paul in Huntsville, Ala., Leanne in Baltimore and Sherry in Lubbock) and eight grandchildren.
