Jim Ouimet

First, let’s clarify the French pronunciation of Jim’s last name (WE-may). Jim was part of the foundation of our new efforts operating the concession stand for the Cedar Hill football association this past fall. Jim came early and stayed late just about every week, diligently working in the “fry division” located back behind the stand. “It was a really good crew,” Jim said. “I enjoyed it.” Jim has been with the council since May 2013 and took his major degree about a year later. He graduated from West Texas A&M, spent four years in the Air Force and retired just last May. His most recent position was as an advisor for economics and development for American Energy Partners in Oklahoma City. Jim had signed on to work up there for a year — it turned into 15 months — so he maintained his KC membership here. He and wife Lou will celebrate their 25th anniversary in July. Jim has a grown daughter, a stepdaughter and four grandchildren. They’ve lived in Red Oak for almost 15 years and have been parishioners for six years.
