Howard Bohlin

Howard joined our council in May 2016 and added his major degrees the following April. He’s a member of membership director Tom Greco’s relatively-new admission committee. The members meet with perspective new inductees and determine whether their names should be brought forward for a vote at the next monthly council meeting. Howard has been a Holy Spirit parishioner since 1991, when he retired from the U.S. Air Force and moved to DeSoto. The Chicago native flew C-5 transports in the service and then became a commercial pilot. He and wife Elaine have been instructors for Southwest Airlines. Their sons, Christopher and Andrew, live in Fort Worth and greater Houston, respectively. Each son is the father of twins. Howard has been a parish lector for years. During this spring’s Easter Vigil Mass, he was again one of the effective readers. And during Lent, Howard was a valuable contributor by overseeing the condiment area most Fridays.
