Mike Moloughney

Mike has been the council’s director for Pro Life activities since when? One of the annual responsibilities is coordinating 8157’s Hike for Life, held at Duncanville’s Armstrong Park. This fall’s hike took place on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 13. You might recall that happened to one particularly rainy morning during a stretch of rainy weeks. Mike pressed on. Mike is a New Jersey native, brought his family to Texas in 1997, joined our council in 2005 and his a member of the Fourth Degree. He doubles up as our co-director of youth activities along with Art Senato. Mike was recognized in 2015 as one of Holy Spirit’s two annual one-time recipients of the Bishop’s Award for Service to the Church. In addition to being a Knight, Mike is active in the parish’s ACTS group, has been a faith formation teachers for decades, has overseen the children’s games at Holy Spirit’s fall festival for years, and is a lector and Eucharistic Minister at Masses. He and wife Karen have three daughters (Meghan 25, Jennifer 23 and Kaitlyn 18), one son (Sean 11) plus one grandson (Lorenzo 1 1/2).
