It is always a particular joy to this Council when we have the opportunity to induct two members of the same family into the Knights of Columbus. This past Tuesday February 25, 2014 we welcomed Agustin Perez Sr. along with his eldest son Agustin Perez Jr. during the monthly induction ceremony conducted by this Council.
Agustin Sr. has lived in Cedar Hill along with his wife of 21 years and his three children for the past ten years and been a member of Holy Spirit parish for the past 13 years. Agustin Sr. heard about the Knights of Columbus at the Christmas breakfast and made the decision to join the order. He was born in Larado Texas but raised in Dallas – a graduate of Sunset High School in 1985. He has a degree in electronics and is using his education as a manufacturing specialist at Texas Instruments. Agustin hasn’t volunteered for parish functions yet, but is “looking forward to helping wherever he can to help the Knights of Columbus”. That’s just the kind of guy that comprises the Knights and we look forward to a long frieindship with our newest Knight. Welcome aboard.
