Alberto Torreblanca is a craftsman cabinet maker and supervisor for a custom cabinet manufacturer in Dallas. His wife of 17 years, Marlen, works for the City of Irving fire department. They live in Dallas and have been parishioners since 2011. Alberto and Marlen have three children – Lissette (16), Eric (11) and Sofia (6) – who attended schools in Duncanville. Lissette joined Holy Spirit’s youth group a few years ago, and her siblings attend Faith Formation. Alberto grew up in Mexico City and came to the United States, to Texas, to Dallas in 1990. Back in Mexico, a number of his relatives are priests and nuns. He and Marlen, who isn’t Catholic, resumed attending Mass a few years ago and are eager to have their children receive the Sacraments and build on their family faith life together.
