[dropcaps] A [/dropcaps] lex Sabo has lived in Duncanville for 31 years and has been a member of Holy Spirit parish for 31 years; yet just joined the Knights of Columbus this past Tuesday March 25, 2014. Not only has he been a member of the parish for a long time; but has also been on the parish finance council for 15 years, worked at the parish picnic for 10 years and has been part of the Fall Festival Auction Committee for 2 years. He has been married to Therese for 32 years and has a son Brian (29) and a daughter Emily (27). What a solid guy. Alex was Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Accounting from Youngstown State University (Ohio), earned his CPA in 1978 and his MS in Tax from UTA. With all this education he worked for the United States Treasury department until his retirement in 2013. Alex heard about the Knights of Columbus from the ushers and joined because he “gets pleasure from helping others”. For hobbies he volunteers for the Catholic Pro Life Committee in Dallas and works as a seasonal employee for the Texas Rangers; although he enjoys watching all sports. Looks like he has been too busy before he retired to be a Knight; so now welcome to the brotherhood.
