Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Hector Rubio came to our area in the early nineties and has been living in Duncanville since 1992. After attending Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Dallas he started attending Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Inspired by the assistance he recently received from our council’s Knight Hands program with a couple of challenging house projects that were beyond his reach, Hector did not hesitate to join the Knights when invited to do so. An electrician by trade, licensed in Texas since 1980, Hector desires to help and give back to his community specially now with the support of the Knights and looks forward to enjoying the fellowship of his new found brotherhood. Hector is no stranger to lending a helping hand to those in need, having provided much help over the last few years to a widowed friend with projects around the house as she struggled to adjust to her new reality of working for a living while raising a son on her own. Hector and Cindy live in Duncanville.

Pictured below during the First Degree ceremony on Tuesday Jan 26, 2016 the two new candidates who joined the order were Martin Arriola (left) from Council 10523 in Grand Prairie and Hector Rubio, from our own Council 8157.
