Marc Evans – October 2021

Marc and Gilda have both been active in our parish community for a long time. Both are still active in ACTs and RCIA as well. Often they have cooked and delivered meals to those in need as well delivering handmade gifts to those who needed a “lift”. And recently (October 2021) Marc joined the Knights of Columbus. So now he has one more volunteer enterprise to keep him busy – he is retired you know. Marc was a systems designer for Gate Gourmet – an airline food service company. Sounds like a very technical position. Gilda was in the education system her entire working career retiring as assistant principal at DISD. Marc likes to cook outside – a “hangover from Boy Scouts” he says. He also makes a “to die for” gourmet jelly. When asked why he finally joined the Knights of Columbus he said “I like to serve; I like to work with others”. For sure he joined the right organization. Marc and Gilda have been married 41 years and have a son and a daughter. Welcome aboard, Marc.
