CORONAVIRUS Cancellations

Brothers,

The fear of spread of the CORONAVIRUS has all our government agencies, from federal level down to local authorities recommending the same course of action, impose social distancing protocols for at least the next seven days.

The latest Dallas County Order from Judge Clay Jenkins prohibits community gatherings of 500 persons or more anywhere in Dallas County beginning at 11 a.m. on March 13, 2020, and continuing seven days through 11:00 a.m. on March 20, 2020. See Dallas County Order.

The City of Duncanville Mayor Barry Gordon issued a similar order on Friday, March 13, 2020. See Mayor Gordon’s Order.

Dallas Catholic Diocese Bishop Edward Burns has issued a Decree cancelling all masses until March 30, 2020.

For us at Holy Spirit Church and Knights of Columbus Council 8157 this means the next two Fish Frys (through the end of March) have been cancelled. We are planning on holding the last one on Friday, April 3rd.

All other church gatherings within these dates are cancelled including our next Officers & Directors Meeting and the Appreciation Dinner, which will have to be rescheduled, again.
