t the April 1st, 2014 general membership meeting District Deputy Bill Dover presented our Council 8157 with the “Lone Star Award for Excellence with Distinction“, the state of Texas’ highest award. He then amended his previous statement from the March meeting that “… Council 8157 sets the standard for the diocese …” to “Council 8157 sets the standard for the state”.
District Deputy Bill Dover also presented Andy Goza with the “They Are Called” Award for his outstanding recruiting efforts during January-June 2013. In addition, Bill also presented Andy Goza with paperwork for a complementary Knights of Columbus license plate, since Brother Goza led the entire state of Texas in recruitment during the last fraternal year.
