The little league baseball season kicked off early this year with a tournament sponsored by Southwest Metro Sports on February 28th – March 1st. During this tournament 20 games were played. Larry Balagna, Joel Lopez, Zack Cazares and Robert Tovar worked the Saturday games while John Espree, James Smith, Jim Ouimet and Miguel Hernandez worked the Sunday along with Allen Reitmeier both days. For their time spent at the ballpark, these Knights generated sales in excess of $3,200. –time well spent, don’t you think? During both days there were slack periods and then periods where we could hardly keep up with the crowd. Even though it was the first games of the 2026 season, we served a complete menu of items. Thank you guys for getting the baseball season off to a roaring start. There was a second tournament sponsored by Pine Tar Sports scheduled for the 7th and 8th of March; but alas it was rained out. The regular season league begin on Saturday March 21st with a schedule of 22 games at Valley Ridge Park. Be ready for a text or call from Miguel Hernandez as he schedules Knight to work the various shifts.
