We are men who lead, serve, protect and defend, whether we are giving out Coats for Kids, donating wheelchairs, lending a helping hand in disaster relief efforts, supporting local pregnancy centers or providing top-quality financial products.

Juanita and Jack Ramsden, the council’s December Family of the Month, closed out yet another busy year with the Knights and multiple Holy Spirit ministries. They helped at the Veterans Day dinner in November as part of their membership in the parish’s Social Committee, through which they also serve on short notice for funeral luncheons. They attended the clergy appreciation dinner in November and participated in the Forty Days for Life event in October. Jack joined the Knights in 2012 and is one of the council’s three trustees. He is a regular at KC breakfasts and cookouts such as the ones at the VA hospital and the St. Joseph’s nursing home. As Zone Shepherds, they planned and helped celebrate the Our Lady of Guadalupe dinner in mid-December. They co-chair the Adult and Family Ministry Commission and participate with the Outreach Ministry. Juanita and Jack have been married for 20 years and went through RCIA together in 2008-09. They have lived in Duncanville for seven years after residing in Cedar Hill before that. Jack retired in June 2012 after 24 years operating a machine shop in Dallas. Juanita retired about five years ago following 34 years with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES). If you can slow them down, remind them how much they mean to Holy Spirit.
