The latest of Mike’s long list of contributions to Holy Spirit over the past 23 years won’t be seen for another couple of months since the Christmas Marketplace planned for early December has been postponed until the spring. Mike was instrumental in the planning of the event, similar to what he has done for years in conjunction with the parish’s annual Fall Festival. Mike and Karen came to the Dallas area in 1997 from their native New Jersey, where Mike’s parents were Catholic missionaries. Mike’s involvement at Holy Spirit has included youth ministry, being on ACTS teams, Eucharistic Minister, lector and Pro Life, an area in which he has also served as the council’s director for years. In 2015, he was one of Holy Spirit’s two annual recipients of the Bishop’s Award for Service to the Church. He and Karen live in Duncanville and have four children – Meghan, Jennifer, Kailtlyn and Sean.
