Father and son joined our council together in October 2014, and that figures. They’ve also been in business together for years. Their company is GilbertZ Trucking, and through their company the Zunigas made a generous contribution that recently benefited the entire parish. In advance of Holy Spirit’s annual Fall Festival – the first one since 2019 because of the pandemic – the Zunigas donated more than a dozen pallets of Frito Lay products to 8157. Those were in turn donated to the parish and other organizations. They also allowed us the use of their bobtail truck, which came in extremely handy for transporting the rented tables and chairs used during the festival. The Zunigas were invited to join our council by John Espree. Gilbert Sr. was born in Kaufman and has lived in Dallas since 1946, graduating from Crozier Tech. Gilbert Jr. graduated from Adamson High and took over the family business when his father retired.
