We are men who lead, serve, protect and defend, whether we are giving out Coats for Kids, donating wheelchairs, lending a helping hand in disaster relief efforts, supporting local pregnancy centers or providing top-quality financial products.
Let’s remember a fallen fellow Knight – Martin T “Marty” Butler Sr. who passed away December 18, 2009, after a long illness. Marty was born on November 13th 1936 in Archibald, Pennsylvania, and married Mary in St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Archibald on June 27, 1964. Marty worked for AAFES in New York, the Philip pines, Virginia, New Jersey, Washington state and Munich. They settled here in Desoto in 1985. Marty and Mary have two sons, Chris in Ft. Worth and Margin in California. They were also blessed with 5 grandchildren. Marty was a member of this council since 2000. Marty will be remembered as a giving person with lots of volunteer hours here at Holy Spirit church. His family will tell you that he was a wonderful story teller with a great sense of humor. Our sympathy goes out to Mary and the entire family of Marty Butler. May his memory live on and may the prayers of the Knights of Columbus and all the faithful bring his soul to eternal life. Marty, we miss you.
