Forty Knights and assistants worked at the final fish fry of the 2026 Lenten season this past Friday afternoon/evening. It was suggested to me that the large number of people working was because it was the final fish fry of the year. Whatever the reason, it was certainly a pleasure to see so many Knights and others work together to provide a memorable experience for the many guests who partook of an excellent meal. Those Knights in attendance were: Doug Karpan, Jorge Ruiz, Jesus Medina, Cesar Villarreal, Drew Carlson, Juan Espinoza, Dan Murphy, Mike Clark, Jorge Caraveo, Joe Simecek, Joel Lopez, James Smith Mike Fitzgerald, Jeff Traub, Larry Balagna, John Owen, Peter Perta, Russell LeRoy, Gerardo Lopez, David Ybarra, Joe Hernandez, Ray Rivera, Hector Lopez, Rolando Sobalvarro, Gamaliel Hernandez, Greg Warr, Hector Lopez, Joe Eubank, Russell Gully, Adan Luna, Lupe Hernandez, Alex Carlson, and Tony Gonzalez, These Knights were assisted by: Holly Patterson, Cappie Wood, Izzy Via, Norma Luna, Max Luna, Madison Reesing, and Mayra Hernandez. (Please forgive me if I missed anyone). As always the atmosphere was both exciting and efficient. An out-of-towner commented to me that “this is quite an operation”. And indeed it was a wonderful experience whether you were helping with the cooking/serving or enjoying the dining experience. Thanks to all who took part in this Lenten tradition and may your Easter be blessed.
