Another well organized and operated fish fry on Friday March 6th. This Friday 237 guests were served by Knights of Columbus. Those doing the set-up, preparing the food, serving the food and cleaning up afterwards were: James Smith, Frank Salazar, Dan Murphy, Doug Karpan, Marc Evans, David Ybarra, Mike Fitzgerald, John Owen, Jorge Ruiz, Jorge Caraveo, Arthur Rodriguez, Joel Lopez, Gerardo Terron, Steve Reid, Jeff Traub, Jesus Montelongo, Phil Holifield, Ray Rivera, Hector Lopez, Mike Clark, Antonio Rodriguez, Rolando Sobalvarro, John Espree, Gerardo Lopez, Peter Perta, Tony Gonzalez, Lupe Hernandez, Antonio Razo, Drew Carlson,Alez Carlson, Adan Luna, Russell Gully. With an assist from Holly Patterson, Norma Luna, Issy Via, and Cappy Wood, the event ran smoothly and efficiently. Please forgive me if I missed anyone who participated – if you’ll let me know, I’ll add your name. Once again, there was much “kidding around” amongst the Knights and there was also much good will demonstrated by the guests. Certainly the meals was very filling since, once again, we passed out many to-go boxes because there was simply too much to eat at one time. My other observation and complement to the Knights was the structure which has emerged from the past three fish fries. Everyone seems to have a “go to” job that seems to belong to them and then perform that task with efficiency and joy. The fish fries will continue for the next three Fridays and culminate on the 27th of March. Keep up the fine work – thanks everyone.
