Wilton Joe

Wilton Joe passed away on January17, 2025.  He was born in Cade Louisiana to Morris and Laura Joe.  He grew up in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  He graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic High School and joined the U.S. Army where he served for 23 years and retired in 1985.  He served two tours in Vietnam and five tours in Germany.  While traveling the world to different duty stations, Wilton took college courses and received his degree.  For the past 60 years, Wilton has been married to Shirley and together they have two children – Tiffany and Monte.  After his military career, Wilton worked for the VA with 20 years of service.  He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a lifetime 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  Not many of our current Knights have met Wilton because he lived in Fort Worth.  He did, however, keep up with the happenings of our council through our quarterly Newsletter.  Shirley said he always looked forward to reading that publication.  Rest in peace, Wilton.
