Dear Brother Knights and Families,

Council 8157 warmly invites all members and their wives to attend our annual Installation of Officers Ceremony, a significant event marking the transition to a new fraternal year, which begins on July 1st. The evening will begin with a Corporate Communion Mass at 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Duncanville. The front pews will be reserved for our Knights, fostering a sense of unity as we worship together. Following Mass, the Installation Ceremony will be conducted by Worthy District Deputy Kebran Alexander, officially welcoming our new council leaders. A complimentary dinner of brisket and pulled pork along with adult beverages, served by our hired bartender, Rylee, will cap the evening, offering fellowship and celebration. For everyone’s safety and comfort, professional security will be present throughout the event.

Agenda for Saturday, June 28, 2025

  • Arrive at 4:45 PM, front pews on the right of the altar are reserved for the knights
  • Corporate Communion Mass 5 PM
  • After Mass, at 6:15-6:30 PM gather in the “Upper Room”
  • Installation of Officers Ceremony 6:45 PM
  • Knight of the Year Award
  • Academic Scholarship Awards (4)
  • Complimentary Dinner and beverages for all members (in good standing)

The Installation of Officers Ceremony is a formal and solemn ceremony which holds deep importance for our council, as it formally introduces the new leadership team tasked with guiding Council 8157’s mission of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. These elected officers bring fresh perspectives and a dedicated plan to advance our service to Holy Spirit Catholic Church and our community. Their commitment ensures the continuation of our impactful programs, from supporting our parish to aiding those in need, strengthening our bond as Catholic men. Our presence at this event will demonstrate our support for these worthy brother knights.

For the ceremony, we request a specific dress code to honor the occasion. All officers are required to wear a suit and tie, reflecting the formality of their roles. For other members, the dress code is optional: you may wear a council shirt with long pants for a more casual yet respectful appearance, or choose a suit if preferred. This flexibility ensures everyone can participate comfortably while maintaining the event’s dignity.

The evening’s agenda also includes special highlights: the presentation of the Knight of the Year Award, honoring a member’s exemplary service, and the presentation of four Academic Scholarship Awards, recognizing outstanding students in our community. Your presence will make these moments even more meaningful.

Join us for this memorable occasion to support our new officers, celebrate our shared achievements, and strengthen our brotherhood. We look forward to seeing you at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on June 28!
