Bob has typically lately, been busy manning the cooking post in the back of the baseball concession stand every Saturday this fall to helping with the setup and breakdown of the parish’s fall festival. Bob and D’Lana have been married for 24 years and have lived in DeSoto for 14. His father emigrated from Italy as a teenager. Bob grew up in Teaneck, N.J., and graduated from the University of Findlay in Ohio. He’s finishing his eighth year with The Hershey Company, planning to retire at the end of October. He’ll join D’Lana, who recently retired after owning a local clothing shop. His grown daughter, Katie, lives in Plano with a 2 1/2-year-old daughter, Bennett. “I’m so grateful for joining the Knights,” Bob said. “It’s made me a better person.” And we’re better for knowing you, Bob. In December, Bob and D’Lana moved to their retirement home in Florida.
