John has received recognition as Knight of the Month for September 2025 for a number of reasons; foremost of those would be his involvement in nearly all Knights of Columbus events. You can find him at parish breakfasts, Knight Hands projects, baseball games, Fall Festival, meetings, and cook-outs John has been a Knight for less than 3 years and has already made his mark as a guy you can count on to help wherever needed. That the true mark of a Knight. John and his wife of 40+ years have lived in Ovilla their entire married life and that’s where they raised their daughter (Katie) and 2 sons (Jess and Daniel). John was born and raised in Midland Texas, graduated from Texas Tech with an electrical engineering degree and shortly after hired on with Oncor where he worked until he retired in 2022. John has lots of interests outside of the Knights of Columbus, like the ACTS program, marriage enrichment at the church, gardening, woodworking and active with the Engineering Society. John shows his soft and kind heart by caring for the many animals his wife (Anne) has brought home as a veterinarian. John is an easy gong kind man and always a pleasure to be around.
