We are men who lead, serve, protect and defend, whether we are giving out Coats for Kids, donating wheelchairs, lending a helping hand in disaster relief efforts, supporting local pregnancy centers or providing top-quality financial products.

Knights of Columbus continue to serve the parish community. Just recently many Knight have been involved in raising money for the various charitable activities the Knights are involved in. The times at the concession stand are oftentimes chaotic and even stressful – particularly lately because of the heat. It seems like every weekend there is a tournament and every weekend Knights step up to the plate and give of their time and sweat so that we can fund our Council; which in turn funds various parish activities. Often times the customers are surprised to hear that everyone working is a volunteer.
Not very long ago, a number of Knight banded together to provide a meal of hamburgers and hot dogs for the residents and staff of the St. Joseph’s Assisted Living facility in Oak Cliff. Of course, you all know this event happens twice a year; but still it is an important event to those being served.
The annual parish picnic is another shining example of their generosity. With an estimated 600 attendees savoring burgers and hot dogs, it’s remarkable to think that our Knights not only purchased all the supplies but also handled the shopping, setup, cooking, and cleanup. Their commitment ensured a day filled with laughter and fellowship, and we can’t help but wonder if such a wonderful event would even be possible without their extraordinary efforts.
On a regular basis, too, you can find Knight Hands doing projects in the community. Just recently Knight Hands trimmed trees, repaired falling cabinets, repaired a car, provided transportation services, replaced a rotted fence and gate, replaced a kitchen faucet, installed a ramp and hand rails, installed a washer; just to name a few. Knight Hand seems to be a never ending answer to the prayers of the needy.
And on a regular basis, many Knights take the time and spend their gas money to deliver Meals on Wheels. Some of the Knights have been delivering meals for years and years and they should be thanked for their contribution to the welfare of the community. And lastly, the vast majority of the Hospitability Minister are Knights. For sure, this council lives up to its calling as “the right arm of the church”.
