Eternal Rest – Sara LeRoy Schild

Wednesday, June 1, 2022, 06:59 AM CDT – Therese and Russ LeRoy’s daughter Sara entered Eternal Life Saturday (May 28) after a 4 year battle with cancer, chemo and all that is part of that journey. Sara leaves a husband, Charlie and a school age daughter  Sadie. Details will follow. Please keep this family in your prayers.

Sara LeRoy Schild was born on March 22, 1967, she was one of three daughters and one son of Russell and Therese LeRoy. She was a bright, beautiful, strong, self-made woman, running her own Heavy Equipment Repair business, repairing bulldozers and such, in a what is traditionally considered to be a “man’s world” business. She was still running her company in between trips to M.D. Anderson in Houston for chemo treatments for her gastric cancer, and she was always accompanied by her mom, Therese. Father Tim Gollob, a family friend, gave her last rites twice; Sara was only 55 years old when the Lord called her to be by his side.

Let us keep our Brother Knight Russell LeRoy, his wife Therese, Sara’s husband Charles and their daughter Sadie, and all their family in our thoughts and prayers. May God grant them the strength to go through this most difficult time.

Funeral Service

Funeral Service for Sara LeRoy Schild, daughter of Brother Knight Russell and Therese LeRoy, will take place at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Friday, June 10, 2022.
