It is our sad duty to inform you that our Brother Knight Hector Rubio’s wife, Cynthia “Cindy” Duncan passed away last night, she was 72. Cindy had been ill and bedridden for a long time but her condition worsened over the last few weeks. Her family was with her in the final moments. Cindy is survived by her husband Hector Rubio, her three children, Christie Malone, J.W. and Mike; a brother, three grandchildren, and her step mother, Mrs. Alice Foster.

Brothers, let us pray that God gives the family the strength needed to go through this difficult time.

May God bless our Brother Knight Hector Rubio and the rest of Cindy’s family.

Prayers for SK William Chalko Jr, Past Grand Knight 1997-1999

May 21, 2021

hands-praying

Yesterday, Deacon Al Evans was informed by Sandy Chalko that her husband Bill Chalko’s medical condition has declined and he is now in hospice care.  The chaplain at his facility has asked her to consider making arrangements.  Bill joined the Knights in 1964 at age 19 and now at age 75 he has been a Knight for 57 years. Bill Chalko was a Past Grand Knight of Council 8157 during the fraternal years of 1997-1999. Bill’s wife, Sandy was Fr. Joseph Lee’s administrative assistant for several years at Holy Spirit.  Sandy and Bill have two sons who are both members of our council, Brother Knights, William and Donald.

Brothers, let us pray that the Lord our God will give them the strength needed to go through this most difficult time.

May God bless Sir Knight Bill Chalko and wife Sandy, their sons, and the rest of the Chalko family.

Yesterday our Field Agent Robert Hoholick, joined our meeting virtually and when I greeted him, he revealed to me that he was recently diagnosed with suffering from Acute Pancreatitis and will be going into the hospital for surgery in the next 2-5 weeks. As you might imagine he is not feeling well at all. Robert became our new Field Agent in January of this year and he lives in Fort Worth.

Brother Robert and the rest of your family, please accept the prayers from the Knights of Columbus for a successful outcome of your surgery and a speedy recovery.

May God bless you all.
