Retention Committee

We are men who lead, serve, protect and defend, whether we are giving out Coats for Kids, donating wheelchairs, lending a helping hand in disaster relief efforts, supporting local pregnancy centers or providing top-quality financial products.

Keeps the members of your council interested and participating in your council activities.

A Retention Chairman must be reported to the Supreme Council in order to suspend members for non-payment of dues. A properly functioning Retention Committee:

  1. Is comprised of the Retention Chairman (usually the deputy grand knight), council trustees and any other members appointed by the grand knight
  2. Recognizes each member’s accomplishments
  3. Ensures new members are introduced to the council membership and made to feel welcome
  4. Communicates with members to remind them of meetings and activities
  5. Works with the Program Director to encourage the members to participate in council activities
