Cedar Hill Baseball Concession Stands

Since the spring of 2008, the Knights of Columbus has been operating all the concession stands in Cedar Hill at the request of the Cedar Hill Baseball Association . It has been and still is a privilege and a money making proposition for the Cedar Hill Baseball Association and the Knights of this council.  Over the years we have sold concession food and drinks at thousands of games and have spent many thousands of hours doing so.  Originally, the Knights of Columbus served 4 concession site; but our primary (and also only) site now is Valley Ridge located 850 Park ridge Drive in cedar Hill.

Ross Musso 1920-2011Ross Musso, pictured here, was the original Directors of Concession and got the ball rolling for future years.  Ross worked tirelessly to make the concession business successful for our Council.  The concession stand soon became the No. 1 source of income for the Council – a distinction it holds to this very day.  In the beginning, Knights worked multiple locations on week-end tournaments.  After getting everything rolling and organized, Ross stepped back to a supervisory role and let his apprentice, Allen Reitmeier, take over most of the operation.  By 2010, Ros was fully retired and Allen had the title of Directors of Concessions.   Fast forward to 2024 and we find that James Smith has inherited the title of Director of Concessions.  And he and his team of Greg Warr, and Miguel Hernandez seem to have the operation running smoothly.  James buys and stocks the raw materials to operate the concession stand; Miguel Hernandez schedules Knights to work the various shift an Greg Warr keep up with all the expenditures and receipts

Over the course of 16 years the menu has changed.  We still hot dogs, nachos, frito pies, and all the common soft drinks as well as chips and candies.  We have, however, substituted hamburgers/cheeseburgers for brisket sandwiches and have added hot links, chicken nuggets and chicken sandwiches as well as snow cones.
