Our Knight of the Month for March is Larry Dumais. He’s a handy guy – runs multiple businesses related to construction and home re-pairs. But recently he has also has become much more handy in the kitchen. Wife Cathleen went back to school on top of her job in the Cedar Hill ISD, where she works in testing, assessments and technology. So Larry’s has had to fend for himself at dinnertime on occasion at their home in Midlothian. Larry became a member of our council about six years ago and soon became the director for youth activities. (You can read more about that elsewhere in this newsletter.) Larry graduated from Sam Houston High in Arlington and attended North Lake College in Irving. He and Cathleen, a graduate of Grand Prairie High, have one grown daughter. Jackie married Matthew Svatek (son of 8157 alum Martin Svatek) after their years at Texas A&M. The kids have been living in Wyoming since getting married but are on their way back to the more reasonable Texas climate soon.
