The Holy Spirit 50th Anniversary
Over 1,000 parishioners came out to celebrate on Pentecost Sunday, May 19, 2024 the 50th Anniversary of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Our Dallas Diocese Auxiliary Bishop Greg Kelly served as the celebrant for the 10 AM Bilingual Mass after which the entire congregation enjoyed the free barbecue provided by the parish and the Knights of Columbus Council 8157.
Joining our community this day were both the current Mayor of the City of Duncanville, Mr. Barry Gordon and new Mayor-Elect, Mr. Greg Contreras and their wives as well as City Councilman Don McBurnett, District 2. Mayor Barry Gordon presented a proclamation to our Pastor Fr. Uche Aladi commemorating this day and officially acknowledging the 50th Anniversary of a Catholic parish that currently serves over 4,000 families in the area.
