Abel is new to the parish – he joined Holy Spirit parish 3 years ago when he moved into the area, but already he is helping as a parking lot guard and at the Christmas breakfast. Abel wants “to be able to give back to the community”, so he was an easy “sell” for his brother-in-law, Ladon Wright, when Ladon asked him to join the Knights of Columbus. Abel met his wife at church, Santa Clara, and has three children ranging from 14 years to 4 years. He has earned his associates degree in applied Science from El Centre College and is now working at the Dallas Regional Medical Center in the Cardiac Lab. Abel was born in Oak Cliff (St. Paul Hospital) and enjoys the gymnasium, running and hiking. Abel was also a proud member of the Marine corp from 1990-1994. It’s great to have a new brother – welcome.
