Ramp Building Continues

On the morning of July 14, 2022, four Knight Hands gathered at the home John Davis in Duncanville to construct a handicap ramp.  Mr. Davis just received his powered wheelchair and is anxious to “get out of the house”.  David Dybala engineered the whole project – he even cut many of the pieces in his garage before arriving at the home site.  So it just a matter of cutting and notching the 16 foot 2 by 6’s and screwing them together and bolting the framework onto the front door steps.

Once the framework was in place the plywood ramp material was installed (David has pre-cut this material and painted it as well).  Next came the handrail supports and then the handrails themselves and lastly the toe boards were installed.  David said “another job well done”.  David Dbyala, David Ybarra, Art Rodriguez and Allen Reitmeier were the Knight Hands recruited for this job.  In total Knights worked 12 man hours to complete this project.  Mrs. Davis thanked us repeatedly for our work.  Nice going guys.
