David and Clara Dybala
David is always showing up at the Parish to do something. Beyond leading the Knight Hands
teams on their various building, cutting, fixing, and painting projects, David also gets into project
scoping and definition for the Parish staff. David also currently serves the Knights as a Trustee
and formerly served as Grand Knight for Council 1358 in Waco (in 1983). Clara, David’s lovely
wife, also gets to share him with the Parish Choir and the ACTS Community where he currently serves as the Facilitator for the Core team (which organizes and oversees the various retreat and
community spiritual programs). Clara does get some of David’s time around the house and
garden plus they enjoy travelling and social events like playing Bunco. Clara stays busy at the
Parish and with Legion of Mary activities. David retired in 2007 from the City of Dallas as an
engineer. David and Clara live in Dallas, have been at Holy Spirit since 1985 and have a son, a
daughter and four grandkids. David lives under the supervision of Clara’s energetic pet
Schnauzer Roxi (who, understandably, rules the whole household).
