Cris Valdez – October 2014

To say Cris followed the path less taken to Knighthood is an understatement. He was hospitalized at Charlton Methodist recently. Two members of our council were among the Holy Spirit parishioners who took daily Holy Communion to Cris and the other Catholic patients – Jeff Miller and Arthur Rodriguez. Jeff’s visit with him resulted in Cris unofficially helping the KC’s at St. Elizabeth’s fall carnival, and Arthur asked him to join the council. “I’m looking for role models,” Cris said. He lives in Dallas, attended Carter High, and operates his own business doing construction and repair work. Cris has two daughters and five grandchildren who live in Grand Prairie.
