The fall little league baseball season kicked off this past weekend – Sept. 2and 3,with a tournament featuring 24 Sport.  24 Sport is a new organization bringing their tournaments to Valley Ridge.  It is also temporary and will last only this season as they are rebuilding theirs fields in the Colony.  At any rate, they will hosting another 5 tournaments at Valley Ridge this fall – the next one is September 23, 2023.  In addition the Cedar Hill Baseball Association is also conducting games this fall with most of them happening on the 16th on September.  It looks like there will be a full schedule of games on Saturdays and Sundays this fall; so be mindful that Miguel Hernandez may be asking for your help on various shift.  Traditionally, there is never an issue finding Knights to work the early morning shift.  The second and third is another matter entirely.  So be kind to Miguel and help on those shifts if you possibly can.  Our bank account totals have diminished because of less games these pass two years and here is our chance to refill the coffers with these fall tournaments.  A huge thank you goes out to those who worked in 100 degree heat during 24 Sports first tournament and they are:  John Espree, Keith Archer, Mary Archer, Miguel and young son Benjamin Hernandez. Efrain Ochoa, Hector Rubio, Greg Warr, Antonio Razo, Marc Evans, Augustine Perez, James Smith, Dr. Roberto Nieto, and Allen Reitmeier – that not a lot of guys to handle a 2-day tournament.  Let’s all pitch in next time.
